Darren Gowers

Having joined Thomasons almost 20 years’ ago, Darren brought with him varied experience as a structural technician and now heads the Building Surveying team in Manchester and runs the Glasgow office, dealing mainly with Major Loss work.

Darren has project managed the reinstatement of several large insurance projects, including major floods in North Wales, Yorkshire, Humberside and Carlisle, along with fires up to a value of approximately £20m. This has included providing reinstatement schedules, specifications and cost estimates in order for insurers to agree financial settlements.

Outside work, as well as being kept busy with his new grandchild, Darren enjoys playing roller & ice hockey, travelling, hiking and motorcycling.
