This £2.5M restoration project on Grade 2 listed properties forming one side of Avery Row in Mayfair, London involved detailed discussion with English Heritage.

The existing buildings had fallen into disrepair and water ingress through defective roofs had resulted in severe deterioration in the structural timber roofs and floors.

Thomasons were appointed by the new owners to specify and oversee the necessary repairs, which included installing new, permanent steel restraint frames in addition to the restoration of existing timbers, steelwork and masonry uncovered during the works.

The completion of the project has provided a much-needed face lift to this historic section of Mayfair.
