Marks & Spencer, Pudsey

The Owlcotes Centre at Pudsey near Leeds and Bradford is a major out of town shopping development for Marks & Spencer plc, linked via a central Mall to the adjoining ASDA superstore.

Thomasons was responsible for the civil and structural engineering design for the 142,000 square feet Marks & Spencer retail unit, central Mall comprising lettable retail units and public restaurant, and the staff car parking and goods reception areas.

The project was undertaken utilising a design, manage and construct contract, and the site works commenced 14 weeks after submission for detailed Planning Permission.

The project was completed within 37 working weeks.
