CURRENT VACANCIES (LIVERPOOL OFFICE)
Senior Engineer/Associate
A technical specialist to provide advice and support to the wider Thomasons project teams, including civil design guides, standards, systems and applicable engineering codes.
Scoping, preparing and managing a variety of civil engineering deliverables for small or medium sized projects, including assisting in preparation of proposals, schedules and project fees.
Ability to bring in new clients/opportunities in collaboration with Thomasons Technical Director and maintain strong working relationships with these clients
Supporting continuous improvement within the engineering team, including mentoring and developing the careers of engineers within your team.
Promoting the health and safety culture of Thomasons, driving innovation and sustainable design practices and complying with associated quality and compliance processes.
The role is suitable for candidates with a background in Civil Engineering, or another related discipline, with the following attributes:
- Bachelor/4Masters’ level degree (Civil Engineering)
- 10 years + design experience in civil engineering to include drainage/hydraulic modelling, highway design S278/S38, pavement design, ground analysis and remediation
- Project Management/Contract Administration/Cost Analysis
- Expert Witness Experience
You should ideally possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:
- Chartered Engineer Status (Civil/Structural/CIWEM)
- Previous role as Delegated Engineer/Supervising Civil Engineer or demonstrate a willingness to undertake this role.
- Have experience in various project design phases (e.g. Concept / Tender / Detailed / Construction) and different contractual environments (e.g. D&B, Novation, traditional)
- Possess the ability to effectively communicate, inspire and influence your team or clients and quickly earn their respect and trust.
- Be capable of managing financial targets, including budgets and profitability.
Senior Civil Engineer
Thomasons are looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Multidisciplinary Team based in Liverpool. The role will involve leading on the delivery of a wide range of projects across a variety of sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the technical delivery of projects, client liaison, financial and quality management as well as supporting an monitoring junior staff. An experienced engineer with 5+ years post grad experience gained within a engineering consultancy environment in the field of highways, drainage and general infrastructure, ideally Chartered or near Chartered preferred.
Civil Engineering Technician/Graduate Engineer
Thomasons are looking to appoint a Civil Engineering Technician/Graduate Engineer with a minimum of 2 years experience to join our expanding team based in Liverpool. The role will involve working directly under the supervision of Senior Engineers to produce drawings and project information under Thomasons QA procedures. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the production of drainage and highways information preferably using AutoCAD, Site 3D and microdrainage, or is prepared to undertake the required training.
