Turtle Bay Restaurants

Client: Turtle Bay

Architect:  Fusion Design

Contractor:  Rosemead and Orientrose

Value: £0.5 million per site

Thomasons is retained as structural engineering consultant for the Caribbean-themed restaurant and bar chain, Turtle Bay.

Since launching in the UK in 2010, Turtle Bay has built a network of more than 30 restaurants across the UK and continues to grow rapidly, with expansion into Germany planned for 2017.

Each restaurant is individually designed by architects Fusion Design. Thomasons is responsible for the structural alterations of existing buildings, some of which have a historical heritage. Thomasons also advises on the complex fit out features within each venue. These vary widely and include beach bars with corrugated steel roofs, scaffold pole canopies and kitchens built within stacked steel shipping containers.
